LIMITS OF THE RIVER SHANNON
The Statute Law Revision Programme considers the instruments in this category to be suitable for retention.
This category consists of notices fixing and determining the limits of the River Shannon over which the Shannon Commissioners may exercise their powers. The instruments were made pursuant to section 39 of the Shannon Navigation Act 1839 (2 & 3 Vict.) c. 61.
The Statute Law Revision Programme consulted with the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage and Waterways Ireland on the instruments in this category. The Department and Waterways Ireland agreed that the instruments were suitable for retention.
