The Law Reform Commission’s Annual Conference Fifth Programme of Law Reform will take place on Wednesday, 1st November 2017, in the Hibernia Conference Centre in Dublin Castle, Dublin 2, from 9:30 until 13:30.

The conference will feature a keynote address from Mr Justice Frank Clarke, Chief Justice of Ireland and two further speeches from Ms Dearbhail McDonald, Group Business Editor and former Legal Affairs Editor of Independent News and Media and Senator Michael McDowell SC, former Attorney General and Minister for Justice.

The floor will then be opened to all attendees to put questions to the panel and to make proposals for projects for inclusion in the Commission’s new Programme of Law Reform, which will be submitted to the Government early next year. This part of the Conference will therefore form a crucial part of the Commission’s consultative process in drafting its new Programme of Law Reform.

Registration may be made by email to events@lawreform.ie or by calling 01-6377600. Certification of attendance for CPD purposes will be provided.

The Commission also wishes to advise that the deadline for submissions suggesting projects for the new Programme has been extended to 9th February 2018.
