Legal Access Internship Scheme 2026

The LRC is happy to announce that applications for the Legal Access Internship are now being accepted. This internship is run together with the Director of Public Prosecutions, the Office of the Attorney General, the Chief State Solicitor’s Office, and the Houses of the Oireachtas.

This two-month paid internship provides final year undergraduate law students from underrepresented backgrounds with the opportunity to:

· Gain practical experience in a public sector legal environment

· Work on legal research, drafting, and case preparation

· Build confidence and develop professional skills under the guidance of experienced mentors

· Contribute to projects that support access to justice and equality

This year’s application process is being organised by the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions.
