CATEGORY L2: ANNEXATION OF TOWNLANDS IN CO. MAYO TO CO. ROSCOMMON

 

The Statute Law Revision Programme considers the instrument in this category to be suitable for revocation.

 

This category consists of a proclamation annexing (that is, adding) townlands in Co. Mayo to Co. Roscommon. The instrument was made pursuant to section 1 of the County of Roscommon Act 1840 (3 & 4 Vict.) c. 76. This section of the County of Roscommon Act 1840 remains in force.

 

The Statute Law Revision Programme consulted with the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage, Ordnance Survey Ireland and the Valuation Office on the instrument in this category. All bodies agreed that the instrument was suitable for revocation.
