The Commission has written a Plain English summary of its Consultation Paper Compensating Victims of Crime.
The Consultation Paper asks questions about how the current system of compensation for victims of crime can be improved. We would like to hear your views. We are particularly interested in hearing from people who have been victims of crime and who have applied for compensation from the Criminal Injuries Compensation Scheme. You can reply to some or all of the questions in the Consultation Paper. You can also give us any other information that you think might be important for making new laws about victim compensation.
